Kentucky Arts Council Credit and Logos
Kentucky Arts Council Credit
Rationale (Revised 08/09/10)
It is important that the public be made aware of the use of tax dollars for arts programming. Both
grantees and artists selected to participate in arts marketing programs have a contractual
responsibility to work in partnership with the Kentucky Arts Council in acknowledging state
funding and creating public value for the arts.
Usage (Revised 08/09/10)
Organizations, schools and artists receiving grant funds, monetary awards or participating in
the arts marketing programs of the Kentucky Arts Council are required to use the Kentucky Arts
Council logo and prescribed acknowledgment language. Failure to comply will jeopardize future
funding and eligibility to participate in Kentucky Arts Council programs.
Use the logo and prescribed acknowledgments on all published materials (print and electronic) including websites (with link to www.artscouncil.ky.gov), social networking sites, advertising, news releases, printed programs, catalogs, flyers, calendars, catalogs, brochures and film/video credits. The appropriate acknowledgments should also be included in all audio broadcasts and curtain speeches.
Exemptions (Revised 08/09/10)
Postcards 5 inches x 7 inches or smaller and print advertising smaller than 12 column inches
require the logo only. No other acknowledgments are necessary.
