Teaching Artists Directory
What is it?
The Teaching Artists Directory is a roster of adjudicated artists of all disciplines, who not only produce high quality work, but also have the skills and competencies to work in educational settings. The directory serves as a resource for schools and organizations who seek to employ professional teaching artists.
Who's eligible?
Individual artists working in any discipline who are:
- U.S. citizens or lawfully admitted permanent residents living in Kentucky;
- 21 years or older;
- legally allowed to work in a K-12 classroom setting.
What's the deadline to apply?
May 2, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time
How do I apply?
- Carefully review the program guidelines.
- Select work samples for submission.
- Complete the online application.
- Attend a virtual interview with a review panel.
If I am selected for the program, what are my responsibilities?
- Sign a program agreement form.
- Complete a series of state and federal background checks.
- Attend an orientation and training hosted by the Kentucky Arts Council.
- Participate in Kentucky Arts Council arts education grant programs.
- Acknowledge the Kentucky Arts Council when promoting your work. (How?)
- Inform your state legislators of your inclusion in this program (Who are my elected officials?)
- Complete and submit a final report form at the end of each fiscal year.
