Northern Kentucky Youth Sinfonia

The Northern Kentucky Youth Sinfonia, directed by Ellen C. Stephens, was created in 2002. The group consists of the elite string players in the Northern Kentucky University (NKU) Music Preparatory Strings Division. This small, select group of young musicians focuses on the art and performance of classical string chamber music.

The Northern Kentucky Youth Sinfonia students are selected through an audition process every year. This ensures the highest quality educational environment for these students. This ensemble always consists of a diverse group of young musicians that share their talent intimately through numerous performances at NKU, in the community and in other cities for competitions and tours.
