Now Get and Nexus were officially dedicated at a public ceremony on May 11, 2007 at the Transportation Cabinet Office Building and the sculpture sites. The value of the arts, public art projects and these two sculptures were highlighted by Lori Meadows, executive director of the Kentucky Arts Council; Lindy Casebier, executive director of the Office of Arts and Cultural Heritage in the Kentucky Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet; Michael Burnside, deputy secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet and Frankfort Mayor William May.

The ceremony then moved to the site of Now Get. Garry Bibbs gave an artist talk about the concept and interpretation of his sculpture and gave thanks to all that have influenced his life as well as those that have helped with Now Get. This was followed by a walk to the Nexus site with artist statements from Tony Higdon and Erika Strecker and acknowledgements of the many people responsible for seeing the project to fruition.

In the afternoon, the Kentucky Arts council sponsored a panel discussion, “Public Art in Public Places: A New Frankfort Streetscape.” Panelists were the artists and administrators involved in the project. They shared their experiences in the process of commissioning public art from concept to fabrication and installation and opened the session to the public for questions and answers.
